On June 1, the overseas lecture--“At the crossroads between state courts’ litigation and International arbitration-Common problems and potential for cross-fertilization” was held online. The lecture were delivered by Prof Andrea Bonomi, professor at the University of Lausanne. Zhang Yingran, Coordinator of International Conference,presided over the lecture.
From the perspective of comparative law, Professor Andrea Bonomi analyzes the provisions of the New York Convention, cities EU law, and international practice. From the aspects of theory and practice, he focused on the similarities and differences in the validity of court jurisdiction agreements and arbitration agreements. Professor Andrea Bonomi then briefly lectures on recognition and enforcement of judgments and awards, interim measures, and parallel litigation. At the end of the lecture, he also introduced the master’s program of the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, and expressed his welcome to the students to pursue study abroad.
